"The Spore card for the content you create can be exported out as a .png file. You can share this image with your friends, post it on forums, email to your buddies, put it on your web page, etc. What's amazing is that all the data for the item is embedded into the Spore card. So, all you have to do is grab that image, show it to your Spore client, and it'll suck that content into your game. The file is only about 30K!"

We have heard mention of this but this is the first time they have mentioned the PNG file. Good choice in file format by the way. I wonder if these will also be animated? As there has been talk of animated avatars.

This really will turn the entire web in to a database of spore content. It also makes it really easy to have a non maxis data base of all spore content. It would not be as convient but I'm sure private collections will appear online.
